SHAH ALAM - The effectiveness and capability of the Rasuah Busters Tag (RBTag) psychometric test could give confidence to candidates to campaign better in the 15th General Election (GE15).
Anti-graft movement Rasuah Busters chief Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub said not only has the RBTag proven to have successfully portray a clean image (of candidates) in the eyes of the voters, but it acted as a crucial mechanism to measure the credibility and capability of the candidates contesting.
He said through the RBTag psychometric test taken by candidates so far, it has been proven to voters that the candidates were suitable to be elected as they have integrity and were clean.
In fact, he said the willingness to take the RBTag test also showed that they have fulfilled their responsibility to the people to serve sincerely and not to engage in corrupt practices.
"So, the RBTag itself has provided an opportunity for the people to predict the "outcome” of the form of administration that will result from the decision to choose certain candidates to spearhead the country’s leadership.
"The RBTag is also able to be a method of controlling the risk of leakage that may occur as a result of fraudulent behavior by dishonest leaders.
"The call for Rasuah Busters in relation to RBTag is not intended to trap or weaken the credibility of the candidates, but rather every decision will be an indication for the intervention process based on various conditions of weak and strong characteristics to be strengthened together with the people," he said on Wednesday.
He said the RBTag psychometric test could be a guide for voters to make informed and good decisions, in line with the six criteria of a good leader recommended by the mass movement of the Rasuah Busters team.
He said candidates who came forward and dared take the RBtag test were indirectly an antidote to the people's fears to choose the best, clean and anti-corrupt candidates.
In fact, he added, the sincerity of the candidates to take the RBtag psychometric test reflected that they were committed to govern the country well, thus increasing the public's confidence that they were capable of guaranteeing the welfare of the people and fight corruption.
In order to fight corruption, a crime that was rampant in the the country, he said, the governance strategy and high commitment against corruption needed to be taken seriously by leaders, not just by answering journalists' questions or making promises to the media and the people.
He insisted that RBTag's psychometric test can scientifically be a guide to evaluate the profile of candidates who were eligible to carry the people's mandate.
"That's why the Rasuah Busters is present with its solution to combat the culture of corruption and abuse of power through RBTag which is seen to be able to best assess an individual's personality.
"Therefore, candidates who are contesting are urged to take this test if they really want to fight corruption.
"Furthermore, the people must urge their elected representatives to take this test as proof that they are serious about defending the fate of the voters and want to restore the dignity of this country by making it free from corruption," he said.
