PUTATAN - A campaign with youth voters organised by Barisan Nasional (BN) at the BN Putatan Parliamentary candidate operation centre on Wednesday was brightened up by the singing of Sabah BN chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
He sang "Berita kepada Kawan”, a song by Ebiet G Ade at the programme.
He said if singing would attract voters to win the election, he will surely do it.
"Actually, I have been asked to sing a song everywhere I go. Not because I have a lovely voice, but they liked my singing.
"That is why I said, to win, we must perform.
"They want us to sing and as long as it's possible, we would. If you can't sing, don't sing, find another way (other means to attract votes from the youths)," he said when met by reporters after attending an event with the youth voters in Kampung Sipanggil, here.
Regarding youth voters, he said in terms of trend, the 15th General Election (GE15) was different from the previous state elections.
"I see the response from the youths was high towards BN and we explained that time, it was the youth’s election.
"We want to give the youth a chance to ensure the future, choose any party, any candidate, but don't choose wrongly because all parties contesting no longer have a track record and BN proved it had been able to raise the country and solve the crisis that happened including the economic issue.
"So, give the mandate to BN," he said.
