KUALA LUMPUR - Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim demands Perak Pas Commissioner Razman Zakaria to apologise within seven days regarding his claims that the latter will promote lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) agendas, allowing same-sex marriage as well as supporting communist issues.
If failed, Anwar would continue with legal actions against the Gunong Semanggol state legislative candidate.
Through a letter of demand (LOD) sent to Razman on Tuesday, it stated the Pas leadership needed to apologise through a media of Anwar's choice and promised he would not repeat the accusations in any shape or form.
"The accusations he made were false, illogical, with bad intention and had tarnished his image during the 15th General Election (GE15) campaigns," said the letter sent by his lawyer Datuk SN Nair.
The letter claimed Razman’s statement had garnered over 43,500 views, 1,000 comments, 3,100 reactions and 256 shares at the time the letter was sent.
It was reported that Perak Police had conducted an investigation regarding Razman's speech that went viral on Nov 6.
Razman was reported ignore any police reports or investigations made towards him following the speech deemed as slanderous during the GE15 campaign on Sunday.
