One of the hardest blows when it comes to the Covid-19 pandemic is the tourism industry and it hit the hardest for those who love to travel.

When you are used to getting on that plane at least once a month you will squirm at home reminiscing all those memories of traveling days during the lockdown. I reminisced Langkawi Island and now it’s time to get on that plane and travel again!

I wanted to venture into something new, something unique, a place with a pinch of art. So, this time around I chose two accommodations to stay - ArchStudio Cenang and S’ekar Pinang.

If you want to be in the midst of Pantai Cenang and still get that private artsy place to stay ArchStudio Cenang should be on your list.

The exterior looks can be deceiving. All you will see is a plain building with a signage ArchStudio Cenang.

But when you step foot inside, you are welcomed by paintings and artwork on the walls along the entrance and the lobby. Instagrammers and tik tokers, get ready for that poses because the place is worthy of your posts.

There are 7 types of rooms you can choose from according to your needs among them are Junior Studio, Family Studio, and Queen Studio.

If you decided to go backpacking with your friends, Arch Dormitorio is the place to stay. They provide common spaces for backpackers, especially young travelers to mingle around in the dining and living areas.

The next place I stayed was not as easy to find. It was like looking for a hidden gem and that was exactly what S’ekar Pinang is.

There were several times when I doubted myself, whether I was driving on the right track.

Before reaching there, I had to drive along small kampung roads till I reached acres of scenic views of paddy fields. The views were priceless! After 5 minutes of driving with that view, I finally reached S’ekar Pinang. As adventurous as it sounded the place is actually just 15 minutes from Pantai Cenang.

As I drove through the main entrance, I was welcomed by lushes of greenery. It felt secluded and a private place for you to unwind and relax. My lung thanked me for that day as I breathed in the clean fresh air.

My eyes were enticed by all the grand artwork and paintings of local and South East Asian artists hanging on the walls of the villa. The saltwater swimming pool is a must-try for those who choose to stay at S’ekar Pinang. If you’re into clean healthy food, they used herbs planted around the property to prepare your dining pleasure.

My stay at Langkawi after 2 years of the pandemic was delightful. All the checklists I looked for in a place to stay have been fulfilled.

If you have the same checklists as I did head to ArchStudio Cenang and S’ekar Pinang on your next travel adventure to Langkawi.
