PETALING JAYA - Pakatan Harapan Petaling Jaya candidate Lee Chean Chung has called out Caretaker Transport Minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong and Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz to go on the ground and do their jobs despite busy campaigning for the 15th General Election (GE15)
This comes after the disruption of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) service between the Kelana Jaya and Ampang Park stations, which has been suspended effective immediately until Nov 15.
"I would like to urge Wee Ka Siong and Tengku Zafrul to look into the matter, we know that they are busy for the election but they need to go on the ground,” he said in a press conference at PKR headquarter today.
Lee said the seven day disruption of the LRT services was by far the worst in the history of public transportation.
This, he said, will have an impact on more than a million of ridership.
"I made a survey at the Lembah Subang station yesterday and was informed that maybe, the system can be improved. Thousands of passengers were waiting because the LRT was not working, '' he said.
He added that PH will look into improving the first and last mile connectivity and public transportation as one of its manifesto for the 15th General Election.
