KUALA LUMPUR - MIC deputy president Datuk Seri M Saravanan said his party members were busy with state level election campaigns and were unable to attend Barisan Nasional candidacy announcement last night.
"All of us were busy with the 'kawasan'," he told reporters at MIC headquarters today.
This comes MIC leaders were nowhere to be seen at BN’s candidates announcement for the 15th General Election (GE15) last night.
When asked on the purpose of the meeting today, Saravanan said it was just a routine.
Meanwhile, MIC president Tan Sri S.A Vigneswaran said any issues in a political party should be resolved internally during a meeting.
"Its a family thing, every political party has issues so we are just resolving it in a meeting," he said.
It was reported that MIC will hold an emergency meeting today related to the party's stand on GE15.
