AMPANG - PKR candidate Noraishah Mydin - a research scientist who is also disabled today told her critics that she is in politics to "work" and ensure the country is in the right path.
"Some critics have voiced out that suddenly I am in PKR.
"I don't want anything," she told hundreds of PKR supporters at Padang MPAJ in Taman Kosas, here chanting "Reformasi".
"I just want to work because I want one thing that no one else can give me. I want the blessing from God to walk again," said Noraishah while addressing the crowd on her wheelchair.
She added: "I am your most trustworthy candidate."
The senior lecturer from the Universiti Malaya Medical Faculty also said she was prepared to quit the civil service to represent sufferers of spina bifida, a neural tube disease (NTD), and other persons with disabilities in their fight to improve the country.
Also at the function was PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his deputy Rafizi Ramli, among other party leaders and supporters.
Anwar is expected to announce PKR's candidates list for GE15.
