PAPAR - Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has assured that there is no clash of seats between Sabah BN and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in the 15th General Election (GE15).
He stressed that seats contested by BN will not be contested by GRS.
"There is no clash, not choosing from one. Where BN contests, GRS will not," he explained to reporters at a press conference after attending the BN Zone 3 Gelombang Biru (Blue Wave) programme in Kimanis, here, on Sunday.
Asked about the number of seats contested by Sabah BN, Zahid who is also the Umno president said BN-GRS agreed on the number of seats according to the formula used.
"We have a formula that has been agreed upon and that formula will be announced by Sabah BN chairman (Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin) and GRS chairman (Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor).
"I will confirm (the final list) through an official meeting later," he said.
When asked to explain about his previous announcement regarding the total number of 191 Parliamentary seats to be contested by BN, he said the number will be deducted from the total number of seats to be contested in Sabah.
"I think 191 seats minus a number of Parliamentary seats in Sabah. That's the net amount (of seats) we will contest in later,” he said.
