SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan (PH) is ready to face the 15th general glection (GE15) without Gerakan Tanah (GTA) chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
This was confirmed by the PKR secretary- general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution.
"We share the same goal of defeating Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) but PH will face GE15 as a coalition without Mahathir.
"We pray for Mahathir's good health and if Mahathir chooses to contest, we wish him good luck," he said in a tweet, today.
Sinar Harian previously reported that PH Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was ready to meet with Dr Mahathir to discuss cooperation for GE15.
But according to him, the coalition must first explain the principles GTA will bring forward for the future of the country.
Media reports quoting Dr Mahathir had said he was prepared to meet Anwar for talks on cooperation to face GE15.
Nomination for GE15 is on November 5 and polling is on November 19
