KUALA LUMPUR - Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth will start touring all states from next Tuesday to explain BN’s policies relating to the country’s stability and prosperity of the people. BN Youth chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the tour would have Youth leaders voicing out the aspirations of the young electorate and country.
"We have a good track record of ensuring stability and prosperity for the people," he said after chairing the BN Youth exco meeting, here, today.
"Today's meeting also decided that BN Youth in Peninsular Malaysia will be mobilising all their machinery at the grassroot level, jointly with UMNO, MCA and MIC, to be in the frontline to face possible floods.
"We have already agreed to ensure that the Barisan Nasional Youth machinery must be focused not just on campaigning but also on helping the people in any situation," he added.
Asyraf Wajdi said he was very satisfied with the preparations made by BN Youth in all 191 parliamentary constituencies that would be contested by BN candidates in the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15).
The Election Commission (EC) has set Nov 19 as the polling date for GE15, with the nomination of candidates set for Nov 5 and early voting for Nov 15.
On the distribution of seats for BN Youth as GE15 candidates, Asyraf Wajdi said he had yet to receive confirmation but the list of candidates had been submitted to BN chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. - BERNAMA
