KUALA LUMPUR - The tit-for-tat bout between caretaker prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and the 12 Perikatan Nasional (PN) caretaker ministers continues, with the latter now pointing out the supposed irony of the former's blame game.
"Like him (Ismail Sabri), we are also acting on behalf of our parties," was the frank remark from Perikatan Nasional (PN) secretary general, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.
And thus Hamzah slammed Ismail Sabri who called out the 12 PN ministers who sent a letter to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah requesting to delay the 15th General Election (GE15) to be held by this year.
"I've already sent and signed (the letter), it's according to the party.
"PN decided that it does not want to hold elections and the Prime Minister always says ‘he is the party man.’ I respect his answers.
"But as a party person, I also have to (follow) the will of the party. If the party believes it is not appropriate [for GE15 to be held now], I too need to echo the same thing,” he told the media during the press conference at Bukit Aman, today.
However, Hamzah who is the caretaker home minister said that he and Ismail Sabri is still on good terms despite the duo's clash in opinions.
