KUALA LUMPUR - Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) is introducing a comprehensive protection plan for young adults in the country known as PRUFirst.
Its Chief Officer Product and Actuarial Services Ankur Bassi said PRUFirst is a 5-in-1 protection benefit that covers medical, accident, life/ total and permanent disability (TPD) and payor benefit.
This empowers the Gen-Z to live on their own terms, to keep doing what they love without the worry of medical cost during unexpected events, he said.
He said PRUfirst is tailored for young adults aged 19 to 30.
"PRUFirst is a simple yet comprehensive protection plan which is scalable to meet the requirements of today’s generation who seek holistic, straightforward and convenient solutions.
"With customisable options to suit their budget and needs, they can safeguard their savings and lifestyle when faced with unexpected events,” he said in a statement.
He said PRUFirst is unique as it allows Gen Z the flexibility to upgrade and customise their coverage to suit their needs and budget.
Customers can top up their protection with a medical booster that gives guaranteed increasing annual coverage to manage rising medical costs, while an add-on extensive critical illness rider will help protect their income, he added.
Bassi said that in the event of an accident, they can receive RM5,000 in medical cost reimbursement to cover expenses for treatments and equipment needed to aid recovery, while in the event of unfortunate death due to an accident, a payout of up to RM100,000 will be payable.
"The payor benefit will cover the premiums to ensure continuous protection at no cost if they are diagnosed with critical illness or total permanent disability,” he said.
