KOTA BHARU - Up to 90 per cent of youth voters may reject Barisan Nasional in the 15th General Election (GE15), claims Pas Vice President Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah.
The rejection, he said is due to youths awareness over Barisan Nasional. He is hoping the rejection will benefit the Islamic party.
He further told reporters when met in Kota Darulnaim, here that aspiring candidates were needed to woo young voters.
"The youth want leaders with good background and clean from any corruption," he said.
On Monday Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the dissolution of Parliament to pave way for GE15.
Pas and Umno had join hands under Muafakat Nasional in 2019. However, Umno had decided to go solo after Pas had refused to cut ties with Bersatu in Perikatan Nasional.
