SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan (PH) Communications Director Fahmi Fadzil has proposed several dos and don'ts for the caretaker government to avoid misuse of power and corruption.
He said among them public contracts should not be signed.
"The government machinery should not be used for campaigns. The Prime Minister and the caretaker government should not be announcing any election 'gifts'.
"Ministers and deputy ministers must return government assets," he said in his Facebook today.
On Monday Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the dissolution of the Parliament after Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah acceded it.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Zuki Ali said the Cabinet led by Ismail Sabri will not act as the caretaker government.
However, Zuki said the Cabinet could not make any policy decisions but could still advice the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on matters of administration.
