SHAH ALAM - Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has arrived at Istana Bukit Kayangan here to meet the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at about 10.05 am today.
Amirudin is expected to brief Sultan Sharafuddin over the state government's decision not to dissolve the state assembly simultaneously with the dissolution of Parliament.
Amirudin was reported to have said that he would appear before Sultan Sharafuddin on Tuesday to brief on the matter.
Amirudin who is also the Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) chief said that PH maintained its position not to hold general elections (GE15) this year due to floods.
On Wednesday, PH Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said three PH-run states - Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Penang will not dissolve the state assemblies if GE15 was held this year.
However, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has urged heads of state governments except Sabah, Sarawak, Melaka and Johor take appropriate action and to dissolve their respective state assemblies on the same date as general elections.
