KUALA LUMPUR - Umno's political bureau did not discuss matters concerning the disappointment of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah regarding the current political situation today.
Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh however said details on the essence of the meeting will be revealed later.
"We will state that later, we don't even know what the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is disappointed of.
"We didn't even talk about the disappointment of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong; of course the country needs a stable political situation," he said after chairing the bureau's special meeting at Umno HQ, here today.
Earlier today, Istana Negara's Royal Comptroller, Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said, His Majesty was dissapointed at the current political developments.
According to him, the Agong had no choice but to approve the request of the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to return the mandate to the people to choose a stable government.
Rauf also denied if the meeting had also discussed Umno's relationship with Pas.
"No (We don’t talk about Pas)... We're talking about our party.
"Our focus is on winning the general election (GE). We urged that the machinery at all levels be prepared and plan in a more orderly manner so that Umno must get good results in this election," he said.
