SHAH ALAM - Pas orders the party’s machinery at all levels to be ready to face the 15th General Election (GE15) which is expected to be held in the near future.
Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said Pas leaders and members were required to obey the Party's order and discipline with acceptance of all decisions made.
The decision, he said, was made by the Syura Ulama Council and the Pas central committee based on the principle of unwavering obedience.
"Any media statement cannot be made without the permission of the Pas president to avoid detrimental planning and the Party's struggle especially in facing GE15,” he said in a statement.
Therefore, he said the party needed to focus on enhancing the election’s work as planned to be carried out mainly through directing the Pas Central Election Department.
"Pas believes in a struggle based on Islam and a clear direction for interests of religion, and nation.
"PAS will continue to provide devotional service to the country and the people after GE15 together with the coalition of political consensus that has the same goal,” he added.
Yesterday, Umno secretary-general, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan after the party’s Supreme Council meeting said Umno wanted the election to be held this year.
He said their machinery has been told to complete preparations needed before Parliament is dissolved.
