KUALA LUMPUR: Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the party Top Five has "reached an agreement", this comes after the party leaders met today to discuss on the date of the coming general elections.
In a Facebook post, he said the discussion with the Top 5 leadership of the party this afternoon "went on well."
"Was able to reach an agreement for the good of the party to move forward," Mohamad or commonly known as Tok Mat said.
Umno Top Five leaders - party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Tok Mat, and the three vice-presidents – Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob met this afternoon.
The meeting was held Dato Onn Tower, World Trade Centre.
On Sept 19, Ismail Sabri said a meeting with Umno top five will be held to discuss the date of GE15.
Umno supreme council members are now in a closed-door meeting.
