PETALING JAYA - Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has hinted that he would leave the Port Dickson seat to contest the seats represented by traitors who left PKR.

The PKR President said PH is stronger in Port Dickson and there is a great potential to defend the seat even if it is contested by other leaders.

Due to that, he expressed his intention to contest at constituencies held by the former PH leader who left the party.

"This is to give a message that betrayal is unacceptable either in politics or in the real life.

"So, I will most likely choose the constituency won by the party traitors in GE15," he said at Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Journalists Club at the Hilton Petaling Jaya, here today.

Among the leaders who left PH after GE14 are former PKR Deputy President Datuk Seri Azmin Ali (Gombak); former PKR vice-president Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin (Ampang); Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah (Indera Mahkota); Baru Bian (Selangau) and Datuk Kamaruddin Jaffar (Bandar Tun Razak).

The list includes former Penang deputy chief minister Datuk Mansor Othman (Nibong Tebal); deputy Dewan Rakyat speaker Datuk Rashid Hasnon (Batu Pahat); Datuk Seri Santhara Kumar (Segamat); Ali Biju (Saratok); Willie Mongin (Borneo) and Jonathan Yasin (Ranau).

Anwar further said the PH coalition especially PKR will focus on rural areas and the Malay majority to ensure that they win more seats in GE15.

Anwar said the action was necessary as there are still many rural areas with limited internet access which with limited social media campaigning.
