SHAH ALAM – The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thundersorms and heavy rains in several states, today.
The department issued the warning at 3.10pm today on Twitter and stated that the bad weather was expected to occur until 7pm.
According to MetMalaysia, the states to be affected were Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak.
It stated that the areas said to be affected were Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Mualim, in Perak, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh, Bera, Pekan and Rompin, in Pahang and Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang in Selangor.
Other areas such as Jelebu, Seremban and Jempol in Negeri Sembilan and Segamat, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru in Johor, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Miri and Limbang in Sarawak as as well as Pedalaman, Pantai Barat, Sandakan and Labuan in Sabah were also expected to experience the bad weather.
