SHAH ALAM - It is possible for Umno to join hands with DAP, says Umno Youth exco Ikmal Hazlan Ikmal Hisham.
He told Sinar Daily in the Politically Frank segment that both Umno and DAP had worked together previously and it went well.
"We worked with each other before and we both passed the anti-hopping law.
"Hence, I do see a possibility in the future that Umno could work with DAP in terms of policy and formatting the law,” he said.
Ikmal previously shared his view in the Wacana English Edition "Resetting the Political Landscape for GE15" where he was one of the panellist along with Arus Anak Muda chairman Dr Zokhri Idris and Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lim Yi Wei.
"At least for this year we can decide on something that could be beneficial for Malaysia and I think for the 15th General Election (GE15), it's important for us to continue such effort.
"That is something we can work together on. Regardless of coming from the government or opposition, probably we can sit down and break that norm," Ikmal said during the programme.
He also said he has no problem working with DAP if it was for a better Malaysia
