SHAH ALAM - Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has contributed a lot to the country, especially in the economical aspect, says Umno Youth exco Ikmal Hazlan Ikmal Hisham.
He said he admitted that Najib’s recent case was indeed a hot topic.
"Personally for me he (Najib) did a lot of good work for Malaysians and it was during his time was the bullish longest period economical time and a lot of companies made money and the market was good.
"I do respect the law itself and I think it’s important to be a pro judicial empowerment,” he added.
He also stressed that the important thing right now was to win the war which was the 15th General Election (GE15).
The election, he said was their main objective.
Asked whether Umno has a chance to take over Kelantan, he said the party indeed has a high chance to win over the state for the GE15.
"Of course we had always stood a chance to win Kelantan, we almost won Kelantan back during Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s time as prime minister.
"I think we have a very high chance to win and we know Pas has always been saying that they are not a part of the federal government.
"But now Pas is a part of the federal government so they can’t use that anymore where they cannot contribute back to Kelantan,” he said.
Ikmal said water, social issues, facilities and also the infrastructures in the state remained a big issue.
By observing the problems, he said the rakyat could witness that some of the political parties were just talk and promises.
He said in the one year period of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri’s government, the latter indeed had done a lot and Umno was keen doing both the walk and talk.
