KUALA LUMPUR – PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is still considering several parliamentary seats to contest in the 15th General Election (GE15).
Anwar said there were several proposal on parliamentary seats such as Permatang Pauh (Pulau Pinang), Tambun (Perak) or Port Dickson (Negeri Sembilan).
"I'm looking at (some parliamentary seats), my colleagues in Port Dickson are asking me to continue (to contest there), Tambun says they are ready (to give way) and several other constituencies.
"As soon as I decide, I will announce it. When (the announcement ) is subject to the date of GE15.
"Not sure but in terms of PKR, we are preparing for GE15 in November," he said when met after the Climate Change Symposium 2022 in Parliament on Monday.
Earlier, Sinar Harian reported that the Opposition Leader had not ruled out the possibility of contesting in Tambun, but the matter was still under consideration and had not yet been finalised.
Meanwhile, commenting on the participation of the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) in Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition, the PH Chairman explained the matter had not been discussed.
"The PH Presidential Council has not discussed the question of Muda’s participation in the alliance and the question is not consequential.
"The question of cooperation and discussion is not a problem among the opposition parties, but for (Muda) participation in PH has not been discussed by the presidential council," he explained.
Earlier, Muda Deputy President Amira Aisya Abd Aziz reportedly said the party would ensure that there was no more overlap of seats with PH in GE15 as what happened in the Johor State Election.
