SHAH ALAM - Pengerang MP Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said confirms that she is still the special advisor to the Prime Minister on law and human rights until Aug 31.
She said this in her Independence Day wish on Facebook.
"I would like to confirm that I am still the special advisor on law and human rights until Aug 31, 2022.
"I also want to take this opportunity to wish Happy 65th Independence Day," she wrote.
Yesterday, a source told Sinar Daily that Azalina had resigned from the position.
Prior to this, rumours were arift on social media platforms that Azalina had resigned.
Azalina was appointed to the position on Oct 2, 2021.
The letter of appointment was submitted by Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
She was appointed to the position after resigning as Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker on Aug 23, 2021 for several reasons.
