SHAH ALAM - Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak who is currently serving his 12-year jail term said he is well and calm.
In a brief note he shared on his Facebook, the Pekan MP said he spent most of his time jotting down his thoughts.
He said although his message was delivered a bit late, it was the only thing he could do at the moment.
"Gina (Nooryana Najwa) told me that many people had asked how I am doing.
"At the moment I am in good health, well and calm. Alhamdulillah.
"I had the opportunity to see my lawyers and family according to the time permitted,” he said.
On Aug 23, the Federal Court upheld Najib’s conviction, 12-year jail sentence and RM210 million fine over the misappropriation of RM42 million funds from SRC International Sdn Bhd.
A five-man bench led by the Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat made the decision after dismissing Najib's final appeal.
Najib in his post added that even though he was now serving his sentence, he was still aware of the development of the current issues and discussed about court matters.
"I also use a lot of my time to write down my opinions and hand it over to my lawyer or family member to share it to everyone.
"Maybe there will be a little delay but that is all I can do," he said.
