SERDANG - Deputy President of PAS Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man reveals that Barisan Nasional (BN) and his party have decided to retain Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the Prime Minister after the 15th General Election (GE15).
Tuan Ibrahim who is also the Kubang Kerian MP said that the decision was made by BN and PAS.
"During that time, BN with Pas (who were) in the Muafakat Nasional (MN) decided to retain Muhyiddin as the Prime Minister after GE15.
"This was the decision," he said.
Tuan Ibrahim said the decision made by BN at that point in time also meant that they accepted the leadership of the Pagoh MP.
"It means that they also accept the leadership of Tan Sri Muhyiddin," he said.
In August last year, Muhyiddin resigned as Malaysia's eighth Prime Minister after he lost majority of support from MPs and the proposed bipartisan cooperation which also failed to gain the support of political parties.
Tuan Ibrahim shared this while he spoke in a debate session in conjunction with the PN Convention 2022 and the 2nd PN Anniversary celebration at the Serdang Malaysia Agricultural Expo Park (MAEPS) here on Saturday.
