SHAH ALAM - No problem to work together with DAP if it means bringing a better nation for the people, says Umno Youth Exco Ikmal Hazlan Ikmal Hisham.
Ikmal said as he came from Umno grassroots and his father was also a former Umno member, he always thought working with DAP was a no-go.
"At least for this year we can decide something that could be beneficial Malaysia and I think for GE15, it's important for us to continue such effort.
"That is something we can work together. Regardless of coming from the government or opposition, probably we can sit down and break that norm," he said.
Ikmal added that as an Umno youth chief, he had no problem joining hands with DAP or PKR if it could bring a better Malaysia for the people.
As Ikmal shared his view, Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lim Yi Wei suggested that the combination of Umno and PKR would be interesting.
"We have interesting debates within our parties and he said we were raised with these ideas that these two parties are opposed to each other.
"So it could be an inherited Malaysia," she said.
Both of them shared their views at Wacana English Edition 'Resetting the Political Landscape for GE15’ where both of them were panellists along with Arus Anak Muda chairman Dr Zokhri Idris.
‘Resetting the Political Landscape for GE15’ discussed when would be a suitable time for GE15 and also if the political parties were ready to hand out their manifesto to campaign for the upcoming election.
