KUALA LUMPUR - Datuk Seri Najib Razak has arrived at the Kuala Lumpur High Court at about 8.27am today.
The former prime minister who arrived in a black sport utility vehicle (SUV) was present for the proceedings of his 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) trial before judge Datuk Collin Lawrence Sequerah.
He is facing 25 counts of abuse of power and money laundering involving almost RM2.3 billion of funds from 1MDB which were deposited into his personal bank accounts between 2011 and 2014.
He faces 20 years' jail and fine, if convicted.
On Tuesday, Najib was sent to the Kajang prison to serve his jail sentence after the Federal Court upheld his conviction, 12 years jail sentence and RM210 million fine for misappropriating RM42 million funds from SRC International Sdn Bhd.
