AMPANG – A man was arrested after he allegedly threatened to kill and disfigure his wife after the latter filed for divorce in an incident on Thursday.
Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Farouk Eshak said on Aug 16, the man contacted the victim while she was at Ampang Waterfront.

"The victim who was terrified after being threatened by the suspect then came forward to make a police report," he said in a statement on Friday.
He said the investigation then led to the arrest of the man at Kampung Baru Air People's Housing Project (PPR), Jalan Usahawan, Kuala Lumpur.
"The 35-year-old suspect was arrested around 9pm by a team of police officers from the Ampang District Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Division.
"A review found that the suspect had a past record relating to drugs and the case was investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code," he said.
