SHAH ALAM - Public Accounts Committee (PAC) says it was not necessary to omit several paragraphs from a declassified Governance Investigation, Government Procurement and Finance’s (JKSTUPKK) panel's report on the RM9 bil littoral combat ship (LCS) project.
Its Chairman Wong Kah Woh said information from the deleted paragraphs on Boustead Holdings Berhad, Boustead Naval Shipyard and Perstim Industries Sdh Bhd's directors and shareholders were open information and could be searched in the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)
Wong further added said PAC is also currently waiting for the BNS forensic audit report to be declassified in accordance with the Cabinet's decision.
He said the declassified report has been uploaded into PAC's official website for the public to read.
Earlier, PAC said they have received a copy of the classified LCS report and will upload on their website, however some part of the report was omitted.
The omitted parts were paragraph 2.39.1, 2.39.2, 2.39.4, Schedule 9, Schedule 10, Schedule 11 and Schedule 18 as advised by the Attorney-General Chamber.
