KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian junior keglers Anis Hannani Romzi and Adania Mohd Redzwan blazed the lanes in Thailand to capture a silver medal at the 21st Asian Junior Bowling Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, today.
In the championship held at the Blu-O Rhythm and Bowl, Major Ratchayothin, Anis Hannani and Adania were involved in a tightly contested battle with Singapore’s Shirlene Wong Xue Lin and Lim Shi En in the women’s pairs event.
The Malaysian duo knocked down 2,424 pins for the silver while the Singaporeans took home the gold with 2,466 pinfalls.
Taiwan’s Huang Hsin Tsen and Tsai Zhu Han finished with a 2,343 total to take home the bronze.
IN the men’s pairs, Airel Amri Suhaimi and Shaqeem Izwan Teh Shahrul Hafiz Teh had to be satisfied with a bronze medal after finishing with 2,559 pinfalls while the gold medal went to Taiwan pair Lan Shao Kang and Cheng Shao Hua who knocked down 2,748 pins.
Singaporeans Mathieu Louis and Ryan Goi Chee Hean had 2,708 pinfalls to take the silver. - BERNAMA
