SHAH ALAM - Fifteen individuals, including two foreigners, were arrested at several locations in Selangor last Aug 9 and 11 for alleged misappropriation of diesel.
Selangor Chief Enforcement Officer of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA), Mohd Khairi Jamaludin said all of them were arrested by the police in Semenyih, Kota Damansara, Kapar and Puchong.
Nine lorries and 33,000 litres of diesel, all worth more than RM500,000 were seized, he said in a statement today.
He said the diesel was believed to be obtained from nearby petrol stations and that action would also be taken against the petrol stations concerned. - BERNAMA
