PETALING JAYA: PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar tied the knot to Yin Shao Loong, a senior research associate at Khazanah Research Institute.
In a Facebook post, the Permatang Pauh MP wrote: "On Aug 5, we were solemnised in marriage in the presence of our immediate family. We ask for your blessings and your prayers,” she said.
Nurul, 42, is the eldest daughter of opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and former deputy prime minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
Meanwhile, Yin, 46, was previously former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali’s strategic communication’s director.
Nurul was previously married to businessman Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Ahmad in 2003 but divorced in 2015. They had two children.
Yin was also previously married to award-winning filmmaker Tan Chui Mui, the couple have a young son and divorced three years ago.
