PEKAN - Two secretaries-general from federal ministries topped the list of 99 recipients of Pahang’s awards, medals and honours in conjunction with the 63rd birthday of Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah presented the awards, medals and honours at the investiture ceremony at Istana Abu Bakar here today.
After the investiture, the recipients were also feted at a reception graced by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
Also present were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and state executive councillors.
The two secretaries-general, namely Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali from the International Trade and Industry Ministry and Datuk Amran Mohamed Zin from the Foreign Ministry received the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award which carries the title Datuk Seri.
Seven other individuals also received the SSAP award namely Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, Pahang Police chief Datuk Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, Touch Group Holdings Sdn Bhd chairman Raja Datuk Mufi Affandi Raja Khalid, co-founder and managing partner of Navis Capital Partners Limited Nicholas Rupert Heylett Bloy, Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad, Oil Hub Explorer Sdn Bhd managing director Chia Siea Chok and Muda Awam Sdn Bhd managing director Yew Ah Chai.
Four individuals received the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) award which carries the title Datuk namely the Naval Family Welfare Association (BAKAT) chairman Puan Sri Maslina Ismail, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner (Management and Professionalism) Datuk Junipah Wandi, Paya Besar UMNO chief Datuk Ahmad Tajuddin Sulaiman and Tenaga Nasional Berhad president and CEO Datuk Ir Baharin Din. Thirteen individuals received the Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP), which also carries the title Datuk, including Hartapac Sdn Bhd director Datin Seri Sian Rahimah Abdullah, WQ Medic Sdn Bhd director Datin Seri Dr Noraini Abd Jalil and the Malaysian High Commissioner to United Kingdom of Great Britain and North Ireland Datuk Zakri Jaafar, Affin Hwang Investment Bank CEO Mona Suraya Kamaruddin and HSBC Malaysia Berhad CEO Omar Siddiq Amin Noer Rashid.
Head of Corporate Communication of Istana Negara Muzli Mohamad Zin led the 24 recipients of the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP), which also carries the title Datuk.
Other recipients of DIMP include Kuantan Port Authority deputy chairman Quek Tai Seong, Malaysian Cooperatives Commission executive chairman Zazali Haron, FGV Holdings Bhd Group CEO Mohd Nazrul Izam Mansor, sports analyst Dr Pekan Ramli, Pahang Customs director Abdul Ghafar Mohamad, Pahang Social Welfare Department director Zulkhairi Zainol Abidin and Senator Juhanis Abdul Aziz. Veteran singers Francissca Peter and Siti Fairus Sheikh Mohamed also received the DIMP award, along with four former footballers - Dollah Salleh who is now Pahang interim head coach, Zainal Abidin Hassan (Penang PC head coach), Ahmad Yusoff (Sri Pahang Football Club coach) and Ahmad Yunus Mohd Alif.
Also conferred at the investiture were the Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP) award to two recipients, Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) award (six), Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) award (four) Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) award (10), Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang medal (eight), Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji medal (10) and Pingat Jasa Kebaktian medal (nine). - BERNAMA
