KUALA LUMPUR - PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) has appointed Ahmad Rizal Omar as its new chief finance officer (CFO) to lead the organisation’s financial standing in a strategic direction.
A chartered accountant, Ahmad Rizal has 24 years of experience in investments evaluation and management, corporate finance and audit, including stints in Turkiye and the Asia Pacific region, PLUS said in a statement today.
Ahmad Rizal holds a Master of Finance degree from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. "Ahmad Rizal’s experience and financial competencies will be key in contributing to PLUS’ post-pandemic recovery and beyond,” said PLUS.
He had ventured into corporate finance at Axiata Group Bhd where he supervised several successful international projects involving Axiata’s international investments.
He had also served Khazanah Nasional Bhd as senior vice-president of Investments as well as Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd’s (MAHB) CFO and Head of Strategic Planning and Treasury Management at MAHB-owned Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Turkiye. - BERNAMA
