SHAH ALAM - Malaysia has recorded a total of 4,587 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, a slight drop from 5,685 cases a day prior - which was the highest in three months.
This makes the total culmulative figure for positive cases in Malaysia to 4,640,235 according to the Covidnow website.
Health Ministry also reported 2,652 patients had recovered and discharged, bringing the cumulative figure for recoveries to 4,556,938 as of now.
Unfortunately, 10 Covid deaths with five brought-in-dead (BID) cases were reported.
This brings the death toll rate to 35,888 since the pandemic began.
Currently there are 47,409 of active cases with 96.7 per cent of patients, or 45,856 individuals being quarantined at home.
In the Dewan Rakyat this week, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the government may consider tightening SOPs if Covid-19 cases in the country continue to rise.
