KUALA TERENGGANU - Terengganu Journalists Club (KAWAT) president Khairul Azlam Mohamad died at his residence at Taman Perumahan Permint Perdana in Seberang Takir near here, at about 4.30 am today. He was 51.
According to his wife, Wan Sabariah Wan Musa, 49, Khairul Azlam was complaining of chest pain while completing work at home.
"He returned home at about 1 am and continued to work at home.
"However, at about 4 am, he suddenly complained of chest pain and shortness of breath before losing consciousness. An ambulance arrived later and he was confirmed dead," she said when contacted by Bernama.
According to Wan Sabariah, before the incident, Khairul Azlam, who was also the Terengganu Harakah bureau chief, was healthy and did not have any chronic illness.
She said the funeral prayers will be held at the Tok Jiring Jamek Mosque at 11 this morning and the burial will be held at the Maahad Tahfiz Wan Al Tarbiyyah Cemetery, Tok Jiring.
