KUALA LUMPUR - An all-new Honda HR-V model, which now offers remarkable style, a cutting-edge power generating system, and cutting-edge features, has been introduced to the Malaysian market by Honda Malaysia.
Since its debut in 2015, the HR-V has established a new market niche and is Honda's best-selling model.
The brand-new HR-V, an acronym for Hip & Smart Runabout Vehicle is available in four variations: the 1.5L S, which starts at the highest price without insurance at RM114,800; the 1.5T E; the 1.5T V; and the most advanced variation, the 1.5L e: HEV RS, at RM140,800.
The all-new model also offered five vibrant colours - Red, Metallic Gray, Pearl White, Silver, and Black are
With the introduction of three power generating system choices, including e: HEV, the all-new HR-V also keeps raising the bar for the compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) sector.
Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Hironobu Yoshimura stated that the market had responded positively to the e: HEV power generating system option, which was initially offered for the City and City Hatchback.
In order to satisfy the demands of consumers who valued the efficiency of the hybrid generation system in a compact SUV, he explained that the brand-new RS option for the HR-V was introduced.
Additionally, the 1.5L e: HEV system with 2-motors produces 253Nm of torque and 131PS of torque.
After the launch of the all-new HR-V on July 14, he remarked that the all-new HR-V is the first non-national vehicle to offer a turbocharged engine that produces 181PS and 240Nm of torque for more responsive and enjoyable driving.
The RS, V and E variants will be offered with a choice of normal, sport and econ drive modes, which can be easily changed via the Drive Mode Selector.
The 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine in the S model generates a maximum torque of 145Nm and 121PS of power.
Yoshimura continued by saying that since the all-new HR-V opened for reservations, the public has responded well with over 20,000 orders received and expected to rise by 1,600 units monthly.
He said the waiting time for the all-new HR-V would be 12 months due to the positive response and high demand for the new model.
He added that it was contingent upon the availability of available versions, but Honda Malaysia was making every effort to get new automobiles to consumers as quickly as possible.
Honda vehicle sales have been further boosted by the government extending the period for sales tax exemption.
Honda Malaysia reported receiving 105,000 orders for the first half of 2022, with 50,000 of those orders coming in June of that year.
"We still need to look at this month's data for the performance over the following six months,” he added.
