IPOH - A couple were found drenched in blood believed to be killed by a family member at their home in Taman Bercham Aman here, today.
The victim Ng Chuan Hon, 64 and his wife Ooi Tin Lu, 59, were found by Ng's older brother at 8.45 am upon returning from work.
Ng's wheelchair-bound 90-year-old mother was believed to be at home.
Ipoh District Police chief Assistant commissioner Yahaya Hassan said the victim's older brother, 65 had told the cops that both were found unconscious with head injuries in a pool of blood.
"Investigations on the scene showed the victims may have died since on Wednesday night, caused by a sharp and blunt object.
"It seems there was an argument between the victim and his younger brother who also lives in the house," he said in a press conference on the scene here.
The cops are now on the hunt for Ng Chun Ming and will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
He said past records of the younger brother show that he has a criminal record under Section 325 of the Penal code for inflicting severe injury.
Police are also on the lookout for the murder weapon.
The victims' bodies were brought to the Ipoh Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) for autopsy.
The victims are said to have recently moved to the home this year and lived with the mother and two brothers.
