KOTA KINABALU - Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob reminds Barisan Nasional members that he is a Prime Minister from BN and any attacks on him will only weaken the party leadership.
He said the government he led needed support to face various actions including avoiding excessive price hikes that would affect the people.
"The government will continue to try to avoid excessive prices to ensure that the people are not pressured and so far more than RM70 billion has been spent to ensure that the price of certain goods can be subsidised so that there is no sudden increase that can have an impact on the people.
"I hope we, among us, give support to the government in conducting the action.
"Attacking the government means we attack the BN-led government because I am in the government representing Umno and BN.
"I am the BN Prime Minister, not the Prime Minister of another party, attacking me means weakening the BN leadership.
"So I ask for support from you," he said when addressing a dinner in conjunction with the Sabah BN Convention at Umno building here, on Friday night.
Ismail Sabri asks that that they focus on fighting the opposition that has been attacking BN following the upcoming General Elections.
"I hope we can unite, if we talk about the elections we must enhance our relationships. If before this we were distant, we must focus on going against our enemies, which are the opposition,” he said.
He added that the opposition’s momentum at the moment was against the government and to spread this sentiments to the people.
"The opposition now has been able to visualise the General Elections, their flashmob has started in Kampung Baru Mosque and from what I understand, the movement will continue,” he added.
