SHAH ALAM – A married couple and the man’s brother were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in was involved in a crash with a trailer at Serendah, earlier today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue director Norazam Khamis said in the 4.30am incident, eight firemen from the Kuala Kubu Bharu station were deployed to the scene.
"In the head-on collision, the Perodua Myvi was believed to have been from Rawang towards Serendah while the trailer was from the other side of the road.
"The victims, two men and a woman were extricated from the vehicle with rescue tool but they were pronounced dead at the scene,” he said.
The victims were identified as Thamilselvam Pannie Selvam, Janani Balakrishnan, both aged 25 and 18-year-old Sasitaran Pannir Selvam.
Norazam added the trailer driver did not sustain any injuries.
The operation was called off at 6.43am.
Just two days ago, a similar car-trailer crash took place at Jalan Kuantan-Segamat which saw five members of a family, including two children and a baby, died in the 3pm incident.
