SHAH ALAM - The Meterological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning in nine states today.
In the morning, the states affected are Selangor. Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.
Terengganu, Kelantan and Kuala Lumpur are likely to be hit by thunderstorms in the evening.
Thunderstorms are also expected to hit Sabah's Pedalaman, Pantai Barat, Tawau, Sandakan and Kudat areas.
In Sarawak, a thunderstorm alert also was released by MetMalaysia in several places in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri dan Limbang.
