SHAH ALAM - PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim welcomes any investigation of the recent party polls after receiving criticism from its members saying that the election committee was not being fair.
In a two minutes video posted on his Facebook, Anwar said he took the criticism as a positive and a clear message that the party needed to bring more positive changes.
He added that PKR had always listened to the voice of the masses as the reforms need to be supported by the people to have a strong uphold.
"The election committee that is led by Dr Zaleha is asking for some space for them to go through all the complaints as some of it might be deemed as unreasonable so I will let their wisdom decide on the matter.
"We will also be conducting a thorough audit by independent audit firms while the system is being justified to see if there are any misconducts detected,” he said in the video.
Anwar added this was where the strength in PKR lies as they were not afraid of being investigated due to their policy of transparency and integrity.
"When it comes to these aspects, we should not learn from the dishonesty of other parties who are not even confident to be audited,” he added.
He also hoped that the matter would be accelerated because the party needed to prepare its machineries for the 15th General Election that was rumoured to be held soon.
