PUTRAJAYA –Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin refutes allegations that the party’s member of Supreme Council Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has left the party.
Muhyiddin said the allegations made were baseless.
"Why not say everyone has left (Bersatu)? That is bigger news.
"As far as I know, it (the claims) is not true,” he said at a press conference after chairing the National Rehabilitation Council meeting here earlier today.
Muhyiddin said he and Azmin often discussed the party’s future.
"I am close to Azmin, and we always discuss the future of the party,” he said.
Muhyiddin also refuted the claims that Batu Pahat Member of Parliament Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon had left Bersatu.
"I met him during Hari Raya celebration recently and Rashid did not say anything except the question of eating ketupat,” he said.
Before this, a portal reported that Azmin and Rashid were expected to leave Bersatu following the footsteps of Ampang Member of Parliament Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin who joined Parti Bangsa Malaysia.
