SHAH ALAM - A former aide to PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has asked his party to carry out a forensic audit after losing the Gombak division results.
Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak said there are discrepancies between the number of physical and online voters, further stating he objects to the "nonsensical” results.
Unofficial results of the PKR 2022 shows Farhash lost to Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari by a margin of 460 votes.
Amirudin secured 1,626 votes while Farhash garnered 1,166 votes.
Farhash, the head of Gombak branch and the vice president candidate said the results does not match with the number of physical and online voters.
"My party has strong evidence and documentation to express a formal objection, with calls for the party to conduct a forensic audit of the system and its implementation methods.
"Our objection is to the results of the physical voting as well as the online voting (PAT) which we found the results for the Gombak Branch to be unreasonable, compared to the physical presence of our supporters as well as the online voting that we recorded,” he said.
He has demanded a the forensic audit be done independently.
The party’s election committee (JPP) and the party polls have ended and unofficial results will be posted on the PKR website from today.
