SHAH ALAM – A woman was severely injured while three others sustained minor injuries after hitting a road barrier near Setia Alam here today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department chief Norazam Khamis said the department received a distress call at 11.15am about the accident and six firemen from Kota Anggerik station were deployed to the scene.
"The Perodua Bezza driven by a 24-year-old woman had crashed into the divider, causing the 27-year-old victim to be thrown out of the car.
"When the incident took place, four people were in the car. The driver and two other passengers sustained minor injuries and managed to exit the vehicle on their own,” he said in a statement.
The victim who was thrown out of the car was semi-conscious when the team arrived.
Norazam said all victims were given early treatment by the medical team from Health Ministry at the scene before being sent to Tengku Rahimah Klang Hospital.
