KOTA BHARU – Two men were arrested to shed light on the murder investigation of a man who was found naked with hands and feet tied up at Sungai Golok in Kampung Simpangan, Tumpat.
Kelantan acting police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said the men in their 20s and 30s were arrested in Tumpat two days ago.
"Our initial investigation revealed that the men were friends to the victim and they were arrested to assist with the investigation.
"We believe that the arrests will help us track down two more suspects believed to be linked in the case,” he said in a press conference here.
He said further investigations would be conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Police were still investigating the motive behind the incident.
It was reported that the members of the public had found the body by the river on May 6.
