Finally, after two years, Malaysians are heading back to their hometowns, reliving the traditions of celebrating Raya with their loved ones. Truly, patience is a virtue.
Good things take time, and the value of patience is exactly what dUCk’s Eid collection called "The Heritage dUCk” is all about.
Through its range of products offered from scarves, bags, accessories, fragrances and ready-to-wear pieces for both adults and children, what you will notice is the intricate, delicate motifs of the designs that are inspired by Malay woodcarving.
This correlates back to the value of patience as we know how it requires patience to make beautiful artwork come to life.
"This year, we want to inspire the value of patience as it has taught us to be spiritually steadfast and it encourages us to remind one another to continue doing good deeds.
"We are intrigued by the beauty of our Malay woodcarving legacy, from their delicate curves to the carved motifs – we are excited to be able to bring this art to life through our collection pieces,” said creative director of dUCk, Jacky Hussein.
The collection was first inspired by "D” (dUCk’s faceless persona) who paid a visit to Pak Osman, a woodcarving master craftsman in Terengganu.
Woodcarving is also an everlasting legacy which has been preserved in the heritage we all know today, and this collection encapsulates just that.
