SHAH ALAM - With only two more days left before the Iftar Ala Madinah @ Karangkraf ends, people are still visiting and enlivening the breaking of fast programme which began on April 4.
Housewife Azmawati Abdullah, 47, said she was very excited to get to experience the atmosphere while breaking her fast with the sky as the roof.
Describing the atmosphere as calm, she said the programme could also strengthen the brotherhood among Muslims.
"Alhamdulillah, I am very excited and happy because I am able to experience this,” she told Sinar Harian at the programme.
Another housewife, Nadia Abd Aziz, 38, who just returned from performing her umrah said she and her family had not missed the opportunity to break their fast at the programme every day as it felt like home.
She said the atmosphere was almost the same as breaking the fast in Makkah and Madinah.
"We can get together and eat together, here," she said.
Meanwhile, public worker Siti Fatimah Moidin, 44, said she was very satisfied with the food and service provided by Karangkraf at the programme.
She also described the Karangkraf staff at the programme as very friendly.
"Besides that, those who come here also seem to enjoy their time with their family, thus this could strengthen the family ties," she said.
For trader Mohd Zuhari Ismail, 51, the programme was a good initiative as the recitation of the holy verses of the Quran, religious talks and also tazkirah were also held.
"Hopefully, this kind of atmosphere can continue during Ramadan in the coming years," he said.
In the programme, Pharmaniaga Bhd donated 200 packs of bubur lambuk for visitors who came on Tuesday.
The programme under Sinar Harian with Karya Bestari and Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) will take place until April 29 at Dataran Karangkraf, here.
