SHAH ALAM - Online scammers are now looking at new ways to scam women buying Baju Raya through various social media platforms.

"Since I and my family were looking for Baju Raya, I decided to buy 11 pairs of shirts and to pay in installments," he told Sinar Harian.
However, after he failed to track his order after making the payment and contacted the scammer to return his money but his calls were ignored.
Fatin Nur Aqilah Koderi, a Sultan Idris Shah, Sabak Bernam student claimed she lost RM220 after ordering from fashionq_boutique Instagram page holder on April 10.
She had checked the account user on April 8 before purchasing the products she wanted two days later. However, on April 9 the owner pressured her to pay RM350 as the clothes were still in Indonesia and needed clearance from Malaysian customs.
"But before this, I was told the clothes were in Malaysia. "I checked the owner's phone number through Truecaller App and knew I was cheated," she said.

Another victim, Anisa Azman, 25, said she was pressured by account holder "Izz Zulaikha" after placing an order for a Baju Kurung worth RM88.
After making the payment, she was told her Baju Kurung will only arrive in two to three weeks and not in two or three days as said earlier. "When the day of delivery came, the owner called to say they were created by the manufacturer had run away with their money," she said.
Her curiosity got the better of her and she checked the scammer's name on Facebook with others complaining of their misfortune.
"It showed there were 100 over victims since 2020," she said.
"I was told to pay immediately as my three pair of Baju Raya will be posted as soon as the payment was made.
"However, they had terminated their line as soon as Siti Aisah enquired for their postal address.
"However, he said my order will arrive on April 15, after that he said someone lost my order," she said, adding that it is obvious that she has been cheated.
